NAMC Upper Midwest has been operating since 1983 and was founded by 7 Minority business owners from Minneapolis and St. Paul. They saw a need for inclusion in Federal dollars in the construction business in the Midwest and decided to start a chapter in their region to address the inequities they experienced.
